Learning how to crochet amigurumi with Kim Smith @kimsmithhappy (Owner of AU)

Amigurumi means 'crocheted or knitted stuffed toy' in Japanese, and is the art of creating small stuffed yarn creatures.

ABOUT: Create 3D crochet animals with Kim's Amigurumi Workshop! Learn in a friendly, supportive atmosphere perfect for getting to grips with different stitches. Get help crafting the perfect critter with our experienced teacher--pick your time, and enjoy this classic craft.

We'll learn everything you need to make adorable stuffed animal patterns, This includes crocheting in the round, increasing, decreasing and sewing together! We'll be following a pattern for a 'Bunny Head' which is essentially a ball with ears! Incredibly versatile, you'll walk out with all the skills ready to tackle a new shapes and sizes. :)

WHAT YOU NEED:
-We ask that you know how to do very basic crochet (like holding the yarn, and working basic stitches either flat or in the round)! If you've been on our 'Granny Squares' class then you are ready!
-Materials available for use during class. We'll be using DK weight yarn called 'Woolaby' (superwash merino & bamboo). OR Bring your own supplies (one 3.5mm crochet hook and a colour of DK yarn).
-You take home what you make!
